CLOVER KITCHEN AWARD 2016: Cameron Griffis Youth & 4-H Department

Except culinary(baking), horticulture-potted plants, fruit & vegetables, gardening, and crops which are to be entered Monday, September 11, 2017 1:00 pm – 6:30 pm General Rules

• Exhibits must be property of youth entering and produced by the youth since September 2016 .

• All canning exhibits must be in standard jars (1/2 pints, pints, quarts and standard jelly jars). Banana bread with sour cream and chocolate chips Items not in standard jars will be disqualified.

• All paintings and drawings must be framed and wired, ready for hanging.


• Exhibits MUST be picked up Sunday, September 17th, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Banana bread with sour cream and brown sugar (Fair NOT responsible for Exhibits not picked up)

• Each participant will receive a ribbon and prize money will be: First place $3.00; second place $2.00; third place $1.00.

• A best of show ribbon will be awarded in the craft, culinary, and stitch and sew classes. Banana bread nutrition facts Culinary MUST be edible.

• A theme award will be presented to deserving exhibits in any category.

• Baking items should be entered on paper plates in zip-lock bags. Healthy banana bread with greek yogurt Bread items should be 1/2 large loaf or 1 mini loaf; cakes-1/2 cake except decorated cakes, whole pies.

• If a youth would like to enter an item in which there is not a class in the Youth and 4-H Department, then it may be entered in the adult section.

• ALL ENTRIES IN CANNING, CULINARY, CRAFTS AND STITCH AND SEW MUST BE MADE SOLELY BY THE PERSON ENTERING THE ITEM.

1/2 cake in all lots except Most Unusual Decorated Cake and Theme Cake. Moist banana bread muffins Bring whole cake in these lots.

The whole cakes and the 1/2 cakes should be covered in plastic.

• Lot 2067 Most unusual cake (ingredients: sauerkraut, sausage, tomato soup, etc. Banana nut bread moist – bring recipe)

• Lot 2080 Fruit Cobbler (apple, peach etc. Easy banana bread recipe uk must be in mini throwaway pans.)

• Lot 2081 Berry Cobbler (blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, etc. Banana bread recipe with sour cream and brown sugar must be in mini throwaway pans.)

• Fair participant must enter at least seven items in lots listed under breads, cakes, candy, cookies and/or pies.

• Winner will be determined by the following point system: FIRST PLACE award – 8 points; SECOND PLACE award – 4 points; THIRD PLACE award – 2 points.

• Winner will be announced during Fair Week. Banana loaf with chocolate chips Prize to be announced later.

• This award is open to Madison County 4-Hers only. Gluten free banana chocolate chip bread They must have been members of a Madison County 4-H Club since October of the previous year and attended meetings regularly.

• Persons who have won a total of two years will be retired as Clover Kitchen Supreme. Moist banana chocolate chip bread They will not be allowed to compete for this award, but may continue to enter exhibits for ribbons and premium money.

• Lot 2159 Collection, Man-made (dolls, knives, etc.) Should not take up more than 3 square-feet of space and must be mounted or ready to display.

* Judging will be based on 75% quality and variety of fruits and vegetables and 25% on presentation.
