With everyone all abuzz over their upcoming spring break and summer vacation plans, I am reminded of my childhood and places we would go during what was then known as “Easter break” and summer vacations.

When my sisters and I were in elementary school, we lived about an hour and a half’s drive south of Chicago. We would visit these museums sometimes on the weekends, too.
