But the fact is, she’s one of the most engaging and watchable personalities on TV, and it’s no accident that the former model turned television cook has sold almost one million books in the UK alone.

Now that her third series for the BBC is underway, it’s time to get back in the kitchen.


But if you’re a little nervy in the presence of menus, fear not – How to be a Better Cook is just for you, with Lorraine showing people with no kitchen confidence how to create a meal for friends and family with plenty of deceptively easy recipes and fantastic tips.

Tonight sees Lorraine working with 26-year-old Bryony who admits to passing shop-bought food off as her own – who hasn’t? Now Bryony’s been tasked with hosting her best friend’s hen party, she’s got Lorraine on board to create an inspiring canape menu, including Thai Larb Gai, bite-sized chocolate Napoleons and delicate coconut meringues filled with ginger cream.

SIMPLE TORTILLA PIZZA BITES WITH TOMATOES, PECORINO CHEESE AND ROCKET

“I have said many times over that I often have a frozen pizza in the fridge for those kinds of emergencies when I am really not in the mood to cook.
