Olive oil soap recipes

Although olive oil soap is beautifully creamy and moisturizing it often means soft and quick to dissolve. Recipe gingerbread martini This week I’ve been experimenting by adding a little beeswax to my recipe and I have to say with some very nice results!

The wax has helped to produce a hard and long-lasting homemade soap that’s quite at home with a variety of different scents and textures.

You can see below that I’ve created a few variations of this particular recipe by adding a some of my favorite scents.

But keep in mind some essential and fragrance oils speed up trace considerable and as this olive oil soap recipe contains beeswax which also accelerates trace you may find yourself with a pot full of very thick soap mixture… which I might add has happened to me many times!

I avoided this as much as possible by adding the extras at very light trace and I always had my molds ready before starting. The first recipe is hard and waxy and very moisturizing, it works particularly well in individual molds Ingredients

• 8 oz (227g) Palm Oil (From environmental sustainability programs)

• 3 to 4 teaspoons of essential oil or the fragrance oil available at Amazon or Choose one of the following combinations (see below)

Use the Cold Process Method plus the following recipe specific steps:

Variations For Her Sweet and Floral – with a touch of spice scent

• 2 teaspoons English Rose fragrance oil with 1 teaspoon of cardamom essential oil and ? teaspoon Benzoin essential oil

I’ve also added a few dried ground dried rose petals to this, they do turn a brownish color but it still gave a nice affect.

This produces pure white soap as long as you use a light colored olive oil.

Hello, lovely recipes and thank you! But I thought I’d mention that Palm Oil is an awful product which is worth boycotting. Whiskey sweet vermouth and bitters So much rainforest has been cleared and burned to make way for palm oil plantations that you can fly over nothing but palm oil trees for hundreds of thousands of acres, literally hours and hours of flying time, and there is so little forest left now that the orangutang, such an incredible creature, is being driven to extinction in the wild.
