Herbs and dressings add “flavor as well as nutrition” to the meals, she added.

The culinary star of the program was the Buddha Bowl, which can be prepared in a variety of ways, following advice on a chart.

The morning counterpart to the Buddha Bowl is the Breakfast Bowl, with fruits, grains and seeds, she said.

The Rocky Mount Lifestyle Center is a non-profit faith-based organization, Dunn said.
